Provence revisited

Such is the spirit that defines this very personal layout. And this is precisely the idea behind this kitchen: to create an area that reconciles the bright simplicity of a memory with the ergonomics of a modern kitchen. Decorative elements have been simplified, and the palette of colours on offer is decidedly trendy (clay, felt, ecru) and sophisticated. In this respect, the combination of clay and our very specific bronze patina is a particularly successful illustration.

The sweet smell of the past

Within the three very distinct work areas, everything has been designed to reinforce the feeling of harmony that results from this very particular way of combining the delicate scents of yesteryear and very modern kitchen design. For crockery storage, a delightful dresser glassed-in on three sides with slim window bars reinterprets this classic piece of furniture.

A thoroughly modern layout

The cooking area: a hood and its very decorative mantel flanked on both sided by two wall display cabinets to house souvenirs and antique crockery. Below, units alternate on both sides of the range made up of cabinet units and large sliding units. The majestic sink area with its simple double-bowl sink made of glazed stoneware against an arch-shaped splash guard. Four low-level modules quite naturally echo the four upper modules. A moulding finely decorated with bronze-coloured edging supports the grey, dove-coloured quartz stone work surface. Finally, and for both of these main areas, the curve of the arch-shaped splash guard which is repeated in the arch of the hood mantel and that of wall units, completes the reminiscence: that of the lovely kitchens of urban Provence and the white kitchens found along the banks of the Rhône.

Equipment fit for a Chef

Electrical appliances do justice to this large living area. A Bocuse cooking range by ROSIERES, with double oven, gas hob and hob with Coup de Feu. A bakery hood equipped with a ROBLIN extractor. A double-bowl stainless steel sink fitted under the work surface.
